PREVIOUS APPROACH
When placing a hip prothesis, different approaches can be taken depending on the patient’s age and the surgeon’s experience.
The last technical innovation is the accomplishment of the previous approach, that allows a smaller scar and an introduction of a smaller size prosthesis without necessity of cutting muscles, entering by intramuscular planes.
This has the advantage of less surgical bleeding and faster recovery. The patient can walk the day after the surgery and is discharged on the second or third day of the operation.
Contact Dr. Oscar Tendero in Mallorca and find out how the previous approach to your future hip prosthesis can help you.
